Horrible changes in Halo 2 Weapons
|
The worst weapon in Halo2 has to be the hand gun, why would the almost best weapon on halo be the worst weapon on halo2. also does anyone miss the nightvesion on the sniper rifles in halo. I thought the point of makeing a sequal is to add stuff to the game and not take stuff away. The scope was good on the hand gun, but just made it unrealistic. Also i thought that the health par in halo was more usefull then just showing a sheild, after two shots once the sheild is gone you are dead, but halo is so much easier to see how many shots you can take once your sheild is down.

true the magnum is the worst gun agianst shields but good agaisnt nonshield oppoents.

are you guys joking? here, let me give you a halo formula:
1 pistol+shielded enemy=death. (unles youre good at dodging)
2 pistols+shielded enemy=RAPAGE+fast-ass melee attack

Never Die is right. The Halo 1 handgun was ALOT better. It was powerful, and had a scope. End of story

You've never read the books, apparently. The magnum in Halo 2 in exactly the same as the magnum in Halo 1, with the subtraction on the scope. Read First Strike, it also sorta explains the change from AR to BR.

i disagree, they said the magnum was more powerful, but i think it's actually weaker, cuz they added dual wielding to make like shooting faster, but dumbed down the damage to equal the halo 1 pistol

The damage hasn't been changed. The things that we're trying to kill have. Elites have better shields now, and so do Spartans.

Heres my input:
I played Halo Pc for about a year, and i've had halo 2 for about half a year. I think the pistol from Halo 1 is similiar to the battle rifle on halo 2. The magnum and pistol are TWO DIFFERENT weapons. Just because they are handguns doesnt mean they are the same thing. Also, in reply to Neverdie's first post in the thread, the point in making a second game is to make it better, not cram 500 new things in it. The Pistol was being overused, and in reality was too strong. So they took it out, and added a weaker gun simialar to it. If you are actually good and have aim, dual pistols are as powerful as a BR. Just get skilled and stop complaining. If you dont like what Bungie did, go back to halo 1.
