Who should do the voice acting of the Master Chief?
The Chief reminds me of a young Sam Fisher. My opinion: they should just get a 7 ft. tall Russian to wear the armor. Should they have Steve Downs, or Michael Ironside play the voice of the Chief?
Personally, I would prefer that Steve Downs plays the Chief.

steve downs is the original voice correct? then him. Ironsides just doesnt have the right...voice...or something...and ultimately it doesnt matter who does the moving, you wont see his face or anything...

It actually says in Halo: The Fall of Reach that the Master Chief was may have been tan, only because he had received his MJOLNIR armor later after his first mission. And in Halo: The Flood it states that the Master Chief is white, not Asian (in Halo: The Flood it says that the Chief is white, like a species of mole or crustacean that has lived in a cave for thousand of years, or something to that effect). So if they cast anyone other than a person of European decent, then it would ruin the whole movie for all of the real hardcore Halo fans, because the hardcore fans will have most likely read all of the novels. So, the reason that it would ruin the movie is that the fans would know that the Chief was being portrayed by someone that is nothing like the character known as Master Chief.
Example: Fantastic 4 was ruined for me because the Invisible Woman was white in the comics, but in the movies she was played by Jessica Alba, who is not completely white, her fathers is Spanish/Mexican.

Example: If Peter Parker/Spiderman was played by anyone other than a white guy in the 3 recent movies, then the fans would throw a huge fit and Spiderman 2 and 3 most likely would have been a complete failure.

but u wont see any part of his skin (in all likely hood) so as long as they keep to that...then it wont matter wether the actor is black, white or a martian...so long as they get the original voice, then its all good..

If they decide to follow the book Halo: The Flood, then they would at least show the back of the Chief's head, and he would likely have a shaved head, which is required of UNSC's Marines Corps, including the SPARTAN I, SPARTAN II, and SPARTAN III programs, as well as the ODSTs (Orbital Drop Shock Troops/Hell Jumpers).

yeah but so long as its not like...exceptionally dark skin, he'll be fine...and as to the comment about Jessica Alba in Fantastic 4, i didnt find it ruined it because its not like she couldnt pass off as a white person...

When Jessica Alba played the Invisible Woman in both Fantastic 4 movies, the one who hired the cast wanted it to be an illusion that she is white. I guess I have a very poor imagination.
