The Official H2B League!
Hey everyone, with the permission of Ghilliemarine, I am starting a H2B League!
This is similar to the Halo2Leagues, so bear with me...
We are accepting any and all teams that are interested. This is STRICTLY MLG rules for every gametype played throughout this league. The 2 separate Leagues will be as follows...
MLG 2v2 League [you can have as many members as you want for your team, but only 2 people can play per match.]
MLG 4v4 League [you can have as many members as you want for your team, but only 4 people can play per match.]
Anyone is welcome to sign up for both leagues, so don't hesitate to! As soon as we get about 10 teams or so for one division, we will start some League Matches. League Matches will be held once per week for each team, and will be held at whatever time/day of week is convenient for both teams. All that will be required is that the game be posted for points towards the winning team. Here is how the Scoring Rubric will work:
Win [2 games]:
10 pt.
Win [3 games]:
8 pt.
Lose[3 games]:
6 pt.
Lose[2 games]:
4 pt.
Forfeit:
0 pt.
The guidelines for each League Match will be similar to Cobalt's [me and GreenJet28's team] Scrimmaging Guidelines...
MLG 4v4
-Rounds 1 & 2's gametypes/maps will be pre-selected for the teams scrimmaging.
-Best of 3 rounds will win the whole match.
-There will be a home team and an away team. the home team will ALWAYS get host for the first match.
-1st round: Home team get host
-2nd round: Away team gets host.
-If there is a 3rd round... 3rd round: Home and Away team will decide on which team gets host, and the opposite team shall choose the MLG gametype/map. NO NEUTRAL HOSTS, I have my reasons.
MLG 2v2
-Rounds 1 & 2's gametypes/maps will be pre-selected for the teams scrimmaging.
-Best of 3 rounds will win the whole match.
-There will be a home team and an away team. the home team will ALWAYS get host for the first match.
-1st round: Home team get host
-2nd round: Away team gets host.
-If there is a 3rd round... 3rd round: Home and Away team will decide on which MLG gametype/map shall be played together. Neutral host shall be used.
The top 2 teams in either Leagues will battle it out on Saturday, December 1, 2007, for the title of H2B Team of the Year!
If we can get this League REALLY going good, this H2B league will get its own sub-forum, and I can get more in-depth with the details on how this is going to work. So, if you are interested, please fill in the following like this:

ANOTHER NOTE: I want to explain just how EASY it is to get a team together. All you have to do, for the 2v2 League, is simply ask one friend if he/she is interested, and there's your MLG 2v2 team, right there! Nice and easy. dont be shy!

Rules, Game Types, and Gameplay Rules...
MLG 2006 RULES OF ENTRY, GAMEPLAY, and GAMETYPES/MAPS:
1. No grenade jumping.
2. No getting on top of any ledges on Warlock.
3. No leaving the normal boundaries of a level at any time (i.e. getting on top of a map).
4. No communication between players during FFA games.<--disregard. [no FFA league... yet.]
5. No hiding the flag in walls [for CTF].
6. No placing the ball out of reach [for TeamBall].
7. No super bouncing.
8. No use of the "guardian glitch".
9. No looking at an opposing team's TV by players or coaches.<--disregard.
10. Any sign of cheating may result in a forfeit of the game and possible ejection.
11. No quitting out of a team slayer game.
12. All players must play with the Spartan character.
13. Teams must play as either the color red or blue.
14. Do not quit out of a game. Quitting from a non-team slayer game will leave your team shorthanded or result in a forfeit if your entire team quits, without permission, before the game has ended.
15. Players must use their registered GamerTags during all games.
16. No warm-up games may be played outside of scheduled warm-up periods without permission from an MLG Official.<--disregard.
17. During scheduled warm-up periods the winners can stay, but the losers must get up.<--disregard.
18. Teams still active in the competition have priority over free play stations during warm-up periods.<--disregard.
19. In the case of an Xbox/TV malfunction, the game will be restarted from the beginning no matter what time the malfunction occurred. [ANYONE found taking advantage of this rule will be given a 3-week team suspension!]
20. Games started without the approval of a referee will be restarted.<--disregard.
21. If a player/team fails to report to their designated station within 5 minutes of the announcement, they will forfeit the game. 10 minutes after the announcement, a team will forfeit their Best of 3 series or the 2nd game of their Best of 5 series.
15 minutes after the announcement, a team will forfeit their Best of 5 series.<--disregard.
The settings listed are those that are not default for the specific game type. To construct an MLG game type, edit from the default game type (Team Slayer, Team Ball, or CTF Classic) using the settings listed below.
MLG Gametype Settings
All Games
1. Resolve Ties = Off
2. Suicide Penalty = None
3. Motion Sensor = Off
4. Team Changing = Off
5. Respawn Time Modifier = None
6. Betrayal Penalty = None
7. Starting Weapon = Battle Rifle
8. Weapon Respawn Time = Double Time
MLG TS=Team Slayer (NOT FOR Sanctuary)
1. Round Time Limit = 15 Minutes
2a. Weapons on Map = No Duals [4v4]
2b. Weapons on Map = Human [2v2]
MLG TS Sanctuary=Team Slayer [Sanctuary ONLY]
1. Round Time Limit = 15 Minutes
2. Primary Turret = None
3. Weapons on Map = No Sniping
MLG TeamBall=Team OddBall
1. Score to Win Round = 5 Minutes
2. Round Time Limit = 15 Minutes
3a. Weapons on Map = No Duals [4v4]
3b. Weapons on Map = Human [2v2]
MLG CTF Bv Creek=CTF Classic Beaver Creek
1. Round Time Limit = 30 Minutes
2. Flag Reset Time = 15 Seconds
3. Flag Indicator = Always On
4a. Weapons on Map = No Duals [4v4]
4b. Weapons on Map = Human [2v2]
MLG CTF MidLock=CTF Classic Midship & Warlock
1. Score to Win Round = 5
2. Round Time Limit = 30 Minutes
3. Flag Reset Time = 15 Seconds
4. Flag Indicator = Off
5a. Weapons on Map = No Duals [4v4]
5b. Weapons on Map = Human [2v2]
MLG CTF Sanct=CTF Classic Sanctuary
1. Round Time Limit = 30 Minutes
2. Flag at Home to Score = Off
3. Flag Touch Return = Off
4. Flag Reset Time = 10 Seconds
5. Flag Indicator = Off
6a. Weapons on Map = No Duals [4v4]
6b. Weapons on Map = Human [2v2]
[THERE ARE VARIANT WEAPON SETTINGS FOR MLG TEAM SLAYER. THESE VARIANTS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:]
Carbines= Carbine Start, Covenant weapons on map.
Human= BR start, Human weapons on map.
Rifles= BR start, Rifle weapons on map.
Snipers WAS once a part of the MLG circuit, but is now removed.
^^These are used in the MLG circuit, as well.

i didnt know about the no suicide penalty or betrayal penalty
i always play with it on, doesnt that mean if ur winning u can just keep suiciding and betraying till time runs out
and for these matches can we get a designated video recorder on each team id like to see thes matches posted in this sticky.
preferably not the guy in charge of player position if u know what i mean.
these are suggestions not rules u can completely ignore them if u like.

the "Suicide Penalty" and "Betrayal Penalty" is the time extention added to your respawn for committing suicide or betraying a teammate.
for example...
you get killed by a shotgun... you have a 5-second respawn.
later on, you kill your teammate, and then you get killed by a shotgun again. you will have a 10 second respawn.
The Betrayal and Suicide Penalties still affect the score of your team, you just don't have an extended respawn time.

ohh i completly misread that, i was thinking point loss wise cuz it sounds the same........i can be so stupid sometimes.
i still think someone should record the match so i can watch it

Now if I had live, I would sure join, but most unfortunantly, I haven't the time to buy live again, perhaps in a month or two I will. But for the time being, I think you all should join this, so when I may come to be on here, I will have some people to play against.
