What about the Sentinel Beam?
|
Has everyone forgotten the Sentinel Beam. Sure it sucks, I consider it the worst gun in the game. The only thing it is good for is killing flood in campaign, and lowering shields in Multiplayer. What does everyone else think about the Sentinel beam?

It's not bad in close range. Keep the stream on the enemy's head and it kills pretty quickly.

this is one of those guns that can be good or bad only. I consider it to be good only against flood and other sentinels. sentinels are generally slow moving and flood usually run towards you or jump, so it can be effective against that. other enemies can just run away from the beam easily. Its hard to hit a moving target. It does have good accuracy though, but ammo runs out VERY fast. There are usually plenty of them around though when they are available. Multiplayer I almost never use this, also cause its not there alot.

Is there a difference between the blue beam and the orange one? I know that only certain sentinels have it. Does anyone know?

The blue beam is much more powerful against flood! kills in half the time it takes with the orange one!

I AGREE. THE BLUE IS WAY BETTER AGAINST THE FLOOD. HOWEVER, BOTH BEAMS ARE GOOD AT TIMES. THE ONLY THING THAT MAKES THEM SUCK IS THE FACT THAT THEY RUN OUT SO FAST.

I dont like the sentianal beam for two reasons.
1) An outsider can see your location.
2) its just an overall crap weapon.

sentinals have classes like the regular jackals and the spec ops jackals. the beam color differentiates what calss they're in. but there are only 2 classes...normal and something better. Orange is standard, blue is better. blue is stronger, too. i dont mind the sentinal beam though, i mean a guns a gun. not my weapon of choice, but still it kills em.
