Funny way Tartarus died
|
I was playing at the last part of the Great Journey where you have to fight Tartarus. I had the Banshee and was making strafing runs on him with the cannons and the Fuel rod. After one of my runs he gut sucked up through the big energy beam thing in the middle. I had just turned around when I heard the 3 shots of the beam rifle fired by the Sarge. Then I heard Tartarus yell as he died and fell off of the edge of the platform. It was funny because the Sarge was the one who killed Tartarus, not me. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

You can get banshees inside by working painstakingly and slowly and getting as far as you can before the cutscene starts so you'll be able to get it back when the battle begins.

oh. why wont it disappear when the cut scene begins? how do u keep it from dissapearing?

I find that keeping it "up to shape" is a good way to keep it from disappearing. Make sure it doesn't have any broken wings or has that electricity coming from the front of it. Also, when you exit it in the room you have to slaughter those brutes, make sure it is far from the door you have to go into the control room through. Sometimes it works. However, I find the banshee makes it more challenging.

tartarus jumped on my banshee so i flew out of the platforms he fell off and just appeared on the middle bit Freaky!

He Always Hit My Bansee With That Stupid Hammer. That, Sometimes, Disables My Plasma Cannons.

I (before Johnson got the scarab) got a carbine and beam rifle with full ammo for both and jumped in the banshee. I get to the doors and bring it in. On legendary might I add. I killed the brutes with the banshee and brought it in for the cutscene. When it was over I noticed that the banshee was too damaged to use for combat. I stayed in the shadows until Johnson killed all the brutes. I crouched right next to him and sniped the hell out of tarturus with the beam rifle and carbine. He kept saying "That was a lucky shot." He soon died and I laughed at how easy it was.

My banshee always gets a brutal beating because I run into alot of things. One time, Mohawk hit me and a fell to the bottom of the level. Before I could die, I pulled up and hit the banshee really bad on the second level area. My plasma cannons and fuel rod cannon were both disabled. I landed where Johnson was and as soon as I did, BOOM, the banshee exploded.

Actually it is not hard at all. When you fly into the door that Johnson blows open with the Scarab gun, just go up, there are 2 open spaces where you can fly the banshee through. You will then hit a checkpoint and then you will have to get out of the banshee for a second to get the door open, then just fly it into the room and if you want you can just fly right into the other hall way, you dont even have to kill all of the brutes. But you have to get through before the door shuts, or you will have to kill them all.
