I kno that the covanant vehicles can already go over water but i thought it mite be cool if on halo 3 that they had some campian and multyplayer mode levels to were there is like a huge area of water n that they have water type vehicle for just the water only i think that would be cool.

I would like it if it were some kind of assault vehicle

Yeah, like a patrol boat with a mounted turret. That would be cool.

like a floaty warthog, that would be awesome to jack people out of they would like drown or you could run them over

Running people over would be much harder, as they could dive underneath your vehicle. You could also swim underwater up to the underside of a vehicle and board it stealthily. And maybe you could even use subs! The possibilities are endless :)

A submarine would be like the Scorpion or the Wraith

you know, i cant remember where, but i saw a design for a boat designed by a bungie designer for a boat. it had 3 seats, plus a turret mounted in front. it was like the water based equivelant to the warthog. it looked more like one of those swampboats with a snaller fan in the back and instead of a fan it was a motor. maybe we couldda used it on delta halo (or i forget what level but with those pagodas that went from building to building, somewhere around the delta halo level) it was pretty cool. but idk y they never made it...so maybe its for halo 3. lets hope. also, maybe a amphibious warthog. one where u cand drive in the water then once u hit the beach just keep on going. and vise versa

I could go for some water assuault vehicles. Could have a gauss cannon and 50 cals on the sides:-) Could load up with marines and another spartan and kick ass. Make them like Navy SEAL STAB boats.

Yes, the Master Chief can breathe underwater for at least nine hours, so swimming would definitely work. Underwater combat would be interesting; perhaps they could include a speargun or something for that purpose, since plasma and gunpowder weapons wouldn't work too well.

It was really frustrated to have all of that water and not be able to swim in it. The graphics were great! I assuming they did that in order to keep the player focused on the task at hand. Hopefully Halo 3 will have some swimming in it so MC can get his feet wet a little. :D

hey kamykazy! that is a great water vehicle-hopefully they will still keep that on file and use it in the new Halo.

Another cool thing would be to see the Master Chief without the MJOLNIR armor. I think we've all been hoping for it, and in my opinion it's time Bungie showed us just what he looks like.

Yeah, i got all excited when it had that body shot of the new Mark VI, and i saw his helmet, then he put it on before we saw his face. #$%@...but, i think that UNSC bullets wuldnt work well either because, if youve seen ANY D-Day WWII movie, when the soldiers hit the beach and the bullets hit the water and slow down remarkabley, that world cause for easy dodging. but acctually when you thinkabout it, they couldnt fire underwater anyway, becuse when the hammer in the gun IGNITES the black power, it wouldn't ignite...so no heat to catch the bullet's poweder on fire, no power, no bullets fireing....that means a whole new weapon set.

If you could pry the jetpack off the flying elites, and fly around....that would be pretty sweet. i agree elite32....i do agree.

Ya I do agree but I bet it would not last very long at all.

I always wanted to use those jetpacks. Also if you notice, when you kill a jetpack elite check out his helmet. It has weird goggles and decorations.

And to another point...
You CAN shoot underwater. When the hammer hits the cartrige it hits on the small circle of the flat copper base which is called a primer. The small circle is just a side of a long cilinder that creates a spark in the cartridge. Since the cartrige is air tight and has a small amount of air inside in it it can propel the bullet from the brass jacket. The problem after that is that the bullet will slow down in water. Basically only good for short range comat. (My father is in the military. He taught me about weapons, explosives, etc... that no kid should know about.)

Look for yourself...

Yeah, I have a similar weapons education, only mine's from my grandfather. He was in World War II, and he's still very interested in general warfare, though he's too old to be in the military. The best underwater weapon by far is the speargun, since the shape of the tip makes it lose very little speed in the water.
