I reckon in Halo 3 there should be a weapon that you can pick up with loads of firing capabilities so it can be used close and long range even though it would make multiplayer a bit unfair but hey everyones up for a challenge

I really dont know, that might be cool, but it seems like it would be too powerful, maybe make it so it is only useful in 2 situations such as short and medium range. But having it do everything might be too much. I dont know, its not a bad idea, but i think it needs some improving.

Dude this is Halo not unreal tournament. It's about picking your weapons carefully for the advantage.

Okay, so you think it may be too strong and may spoil the game a little. How about you can pick it up as a weapon but it cannot do anything to start with. The more you look round the level and the more weapos you find you can store two of the best weapons youwant inside it to give you a slight advantage so basically you can hold three weapons instead of just two but you need to build to it.

For example
I pick up this weapon then I find a battle rifle so I store that. I already have a sniper rifle thpugh so I need a short range weapon. I get a shotgun and therefore I have a battle rifle a shotgun and a sniper rifle all of which will be pretty good together.

How does that sound guys???

I think having a weapon or dualing is enough.
This seems like a cheap way of winning.

Yeah, i agree, it still seems like it would be too powerful, how about we just stick to having regular guns, its not a bad idea, but it just doenst seem practical.

It isn't logical. But making the battle rifle so you could switch between 3 shot bursts and full auto would be a logical thing to do.

I agree w/ big willy. The battle rifle is pretty much useless anyway, but to have the option would at least make it respectable in a close-range situation.

I think a long range weapon with a shirt range weapon attached sounds an aweful lot like a brute shot...long pelletas in front knife on back... i like the way bungie has it. that gun isnt to powerful but if u can weild it correctly and use the sword along with the gun its sweet. but then again...maybe its time for an upgrade like the new brute plasma rifle compared to the old one... idk its up to them i guess?

Alright people dont seem to like that sort of an enhancement but we gamers need to be thinking of some fresh upgrades for halo3.

I think that woudl be cool, but Im a fan of semi auto (single shot), like the Covenant carbine, to have a single shot battle rifle. it doesnt really work too good in this game because it takes more than one shot to kill almost anything anyways, but it conserves ammo better. And in human to human combat games like ghost recon and splinter cell, where one shot can kill, its also usually a good idea to conserve ammo. But guns are so disposable in this game that conserving ammo isnt really a problem.

It would be alright but i like semi auto also
