One small thing I was surprised that was taken out was the night vision in the sniper rifle scope. It was so useful when trying to find people against dark backgrounds. It would really be useful in waterworks for people against the dark ground. I used to play system link with Halo before Halo 2 came out, and the night vision always helped me to find people, even in bright places. But it really became useful in dimly lit, very dark places. I just don't know why Microsoft would have left the night vision out.

i have some important issues i think it should go into a system link. campaign mode game. where two xboxs can play a system link on the networ as if you were going to go multi player. i also think more level and the old levels should make a come back. that will obviously happen with more levels that are different i think that the falling suicide penalty should come back. if you fall you die. and i have heard alot of complaints from everyone everywhere i go. everyone wants customizable soundtracks on the multiplayer mode for that "killing music" when you play thats all the most important things i have heard and reviewed from people laterz

They removed the night vision cause you used white to activate it and now white is team talk. Of course they could move that to a d pad button. Online co-op!

I think a custom soundtrack for multiplayer would be bad a$$

I would like to see a rail gun for Halo3, much like in Perfect Dark.

I think that the cust. soundtracks would be great. And also having night vision would be good to have back again. When in sniper mode push down on the d-pad for the green glow look.

1. My night vision back, logically downgrading is bad
2. My pistol scope back, what army logically goes backwards by downgrading the power and ability to have a scope on a weapon, I know there are exceptions to this rule, but it is logical to go forward in tech not backwards
3. Is it just me or is the shot gun not as powerful, if so that sucks
4. Dual wielding swords would be cool, but like most say too powerful
5. A level with two, or more, bases that are seperated by water, like large islands.
6. The ability to link more than 4 x-boxes together. With the level mentioned above, like 4 bases with at least 5 or 6 people per base, 16 people just gets old after a while, not enough carnage, 40 people might be nice
7. My assault rifle back, some might say that the smg is comparable, but I don't think so, not by itself and the recoil in full auto while dual wielding sucks, your telling me that the Master Chief, the man that has the ability to kill helljumpers with his bare fists in only a handful of punches and that can run 50+ kph without his armour can't handle the recoil of a wee little smg, bs
8. Silenced weapons, sometimes you just wish that you could kill the enemy in peace and quiet, but no stealth game elements, the game is hard enough without having to sneak around like Sam, like you don't already do that a lot
9. The ability for the game to be smart, like if you always switch to plasma grenades when you pick them up the game would realize that after a while and start automattically doing it, or just be able to set your preferences in the character edit screen.
10. Flying human vehicles, see my post in the new vehicles thread for more on my wishes for vehicles.
11. The ability to pick up and move the portable chain gun, and an increased radius of fire.
12. Human battle robots, like the sentinels, to help protect the marines and stuff.
13. The brute hammer, it looks so much better than the energy sword.
That's all I can think of right now, but I am sure I will figure something else out.

A lot of good wants here. I would like the night vision back as well. I don't mind that they downgraded the power of the pistol for MP, but they could have left it alone in the campaign mode, it woudl sure come in handy. I was thinking the shotgun was a little weaker myself. Probably more balancing that they did. I can go either way on the assualt rifle, I kinda like the new battle rifle and the SMGs are fun. I agree about the recoil on the SMG's. I think John could have kept them level. I think we all can agree silenced weapons would be a nice feature and a few stealth boards would add to the game. Continuing on the balance theme, they could have given us a flying human vehicle, something like a helicoptor which woudl be the equivalent of the Banshee. The portable chian gun, now that would help. There is a gun emplacement on Ciaro right before you enter the second pelican bay which i REALLY REALLY wanted to be able to pickup and move into the room. It's worthless where it is now, the aliens don't even come out there. You can get on the alien chain guns on top of the platform, but thats just suicide cause they are too close.

i think it would be cool to have nightvision back and maybe instead of finding a skull the mastercheif could develop his own cloaking in the third one then some stuff happen to break it so it would be like the arbitrer to level the game but i think steath stuff would be ok but it would take alot to balance it out.

Night vision would be nice to have back, I agree. I don't think the MC should be able to cloak at will, but I do think they should put the Active Camo powerups back in the campaign. The Arbiter and the MC definitely shouldn't be the same, or else looks would be the only difference between them. I like it that they each have a special ability. Some more stealth aspects in the game would be nice, as long as it didn't start to lose its identity as an FPS.

I really like the nightvision but one thing I like more was the range finder on the sniper rifle since I'm a twich gamer it helps me understand if they were coming at me or heading for cover and it was always fun to look at when ever they were wondering around aimlessly bring back range finder!!

Yeah, I just want a few stealth elements. The Conflict series does a good job of mixing in enough stealth elements to keep in fun. Full stealth like Spliter Cell just doesn't interest me enough. I like to blast away 85% of the time and sneak 15%.

They need a few night missions and maybe even thermal vision. That would bring a realistic experience to missions.

Yeah, the night missions in Halo 1 were cool, and Halo 2 has far fewer of them. Thermal vision would be awesome. No more ten-second low power flashlight.

It doesn't track their body heat. It tracks their equipment.

a little bit of stealth would be nice. i like running around and killing stuff but i wouldnt mind to hide and kill people when they least expect it. kinda like splinter cell only with a hell of a lot less stealth.

Dark Eagle

You can do that in both Halo games in some places, but not as much as I'd like. I definitely want to keep it an FPS, though, not a stealth action game like Splinter Cell.
