I think that it would be a little more fun if the turrets on multiplayer didnt have aiming circles and you just had to fire by using tracers. For those who dont know what tracers are they are the streaks made by the bullets used to tell where there are going. My reason for saying this is that if you get on a turret and nobody has a rocket launcher, they can practically mow people down forever. If the turrets used tracers, it would be a little harder for the shooter to hit their mark and maybe make turret use a little more fair.

Just a bit more info on tracers. They are usually phosphorus coated and are in every three shots.

it is possible in the campaign mode of halo 2. you have to get the blind skull from the outskirts level. it will remove your targeting reticle. i don't recomend this to those who haven't played alot. it can become very very confusing. but it won't have tracers, thats the only problem.

um...it wont have tracers?? wasnt the point of the thread TO have tracers? so basically ur saying "get the blind skull and its sweet. if your a newb dont do it"?? no offence but thats a load of crap. were talking about tracers here. it'd make no sence to go to all the trouble of killing on blind skull, with no health, ammo, granades that u can see, for absoloutly no tracers. it would defy the purpose. I dont llike the tracer idea. i think theres always a way to kill a turret, be it hiding and sniping or sneaking up behind them, theres always a way to kill a turret.

Im not saying that killing the turrets is hard. I just think that it would make using turrets a little more challenging because you dont have the easy aiming circle that turns red when it is pointed at an enemy. I think that Turrets are kind of cheap, and if people want to use them, they should be put at a disadvantage by having to use the tracers unstead of the prescious aiming circle.

Am I right when I say that the effective killing range of a weapon is greater the distance at which the targeting recticle goes red. I think the turrets are somewhat hard to use because of this. If you have the opportunity you can use someone with a scope, spotters scope, or prefferably with the sniper rifle scope and use them like a sniper uses a spotter. I know some of you will say that is cheap, but in the end a kill is a kill. If the victim is a good enough player they will find a way around this and still kill you.
